Alpha Healthcare Institute offers a wide range of health solutions for families who need retirement living, assisted living, rehab, skilled nursing, and more. We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN), Full-Time / Part-Time to join our team.

 

The primary role of a potential Certified Nursing Assistant candidate is to assist in coordinating residents daily, which includes Bathing or shower assistance, Mobility assistance, vital signs, and other professional care in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards and guidelines, the regulations that govern Alpha Healthcare Institute.

Responsibilities
  • As a CareCNA you will be responsible for all duties to safely provide for the resident’s care and well-being in a professional manner
  • Assist resident with all the needed care which includes, but is not limited to, toileting, ambulation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, escorting, and transferring from place to place
  • Assist residents in the dining room during mealtimes including, but not limited to, set up, taking meal/beverage orders, serving, bus tables
  • Assist with sundry activities when required and/or be responsible for getting the residents to scheduled activities
  • Assist in getting the resident ready for scheduled appointments and doctors’ visits.
  • Help with residents’ laundry such as washing, drying, folding, and returning laundry to the correct resident
  • Collects and disposes of trash in designated receptacles
  • Ability to take vital signs and weights measurement accurately
Qualifications
  • Must be a Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Illinois and be in good standing.
  • High School /Associate Degrees
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
  • Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprinting, and a background check.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is plus
  • Other releated certification
